报告人简介：
Mani Nepal has been working as Programme Coordinator of SANDEE (South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics) and Lead Economist for ICIMOD (International Cener for Integrated Mountain Development) since 2018, having previously worked as SANDEE’s Senior Environmental Economist and Research Programme Manager.
He has a long history of working in academia, working as a distinguished visiting professor at Kyoto University, Japan; Adjunct Professor at Agriculture and Forestry University, Visiting Professor at Kathmandu University, and Associate Professor at Tribhuvan University, Nepal; and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico, USA. He also held a Senior Economist position at the Department of Finance and Administration, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.
Dr. Nepal is an applied economist with research interest at the intersection of development and environmental issues. In addition to peer reviewed articles in several highly visible international journals, his latest work includes an edited volume, “Climate Change, and Community Resilience: Insights from South Asia”.
Dr. Nepal received a PhD in Economics and Applied Econometrics from the University of New Mexico, USA, and is a Fulbright Scholar who received an MS degree in Policy Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
